Yummy Superfoods That Are Great for Your Yoni

Hey there ladies, we've been getting a lot of queries about maintaining good vaginal health and how to combat Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) and other issues. So, since we do not encourage the use of all the different products available on the market today that promise a pleasant-smelling vagina and other empty promises, we decided to compile a list of natural, healthy superfoods that will help regulate your vagina's PH and keep it happy and less susceptible to infections.

Cranberries

Okay, this one is the most obvious choice and has been an all curing superfruit for years. Cranberries are the go-to food for urinary tract health. So, if you regularly suffer from painful and irritating UTIs, we suggest incorporating cranberries into your diet ASAP. A glass of cranberry juice every morning or cranberry supplements can go a long way in making your vagina happy. If you're looking for Cranberry supplements, we suggest the Vital Cranberry Complex, which is available at most pharmacies. Cranberries are more powerful than you think, surpassing strawberries, raspberries, spinach, and broccoli in their disease-fighting antioxidants.

Plain yogurt

Yogurt is most commonly used to treat vaginal yeast infections. Using plain or Greek yogurt instead of sweetened yogurt is essential because sugar causes the yeast to multiply, thus making your infection worse. Consuming yogurt regularly has several other health benefits, such as preventing urinary tract infections and reducing the severity of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) in some women. Your vagina contains large amounts of "good" bacteria that help protect you from "bad" bacteria that may enter your body. You can help increase levels of helpful bacteria by incorporating yogurt into your diet. The good bacteria in yogurt may also help your vagina by balancing acid levels in your vaginal fluids.

Pineapple

Pineapple is a rich vitamin C, vitamin B, and fibre source. Not only do these nutrients improve gut health, but they also help maintain your vagina's natural smell by keeping it healthy and preventing any infections. Pineapple also has valuable nutritional value for your skin, bones, and teeth. A few pineapple slices every day can help cleanse the digestive and urinary tracts, lymphatic, and cardiovascular systems. It will assist you in increasing your caloric intake, increasing your metabolism, and aiding in weight loss.

Avocado

Avocados are ample in healthy fats, vitamin B-6, and potassium — all of which positively affect your libido. This libido-boosting fruit can enhance lubrication and estrogen levels, strengthen vaginal walls, and may even increase IVF success due to its unsaturated fats. Who knew that avocado had such amazing benefits for your vagina? Not only that, but the healthy fats found in avocados can also help regulate your cholesterol.

Spinach

Like other leafy greens, spinach dilates blood vessels and enhances circulation, including to the vaginal area, preventing dryness and promoting greater and more frequent orgasms (who doesn't want that???). Spinach is also rich in magnesium, a mineral that decreases inflammation in blood vessels and increases blood flow. Increased blood flow drives blood to the extremities, which, like Viagra, can increase arousal and make sex more pleasurable. This definitely changes our view of spinach.

Sweet Potatoes

Next up are sweet potatoes. They are rich in beta carotene and vitamin A, which can help strengthen and protect uterine walls. Beta carotene and vitamin A have been studied to have direct effects on fertility and reproduction in both men and women, as well as healthy fetal development. Sweet potatoes also help us produce the hormones we need to stay vibrant and energized.

Eggs

The yolk of an egg is one of the premium sources of vitamin D. It has been observed that people who suffer from bad vaginal health also lack vitamin D in their bodies. This makes them more prone to infections, leading to an unhealthy vagina. Therefore, if you want to keep your vagina happy and healthy, eat eggs regularly. The goal is to have enough Vitamin D in your body because a Vitamin D deficiency can put you at risk for Bacterial Vaginosis (BV).

Look, a good diet is only half the work. There are many ways to keep your precious yoni healthy, including regular exercise, practicing safe sex, having regular gynae visits, and attending to infections as soon as possible. So, there you have it, ladies, don't forget to keep up with us on social media and engage with others on these important topics.
